The British School of Bahrain (BSB) is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Chemistry to start in August, 2026. We are a selective, coeducational, independent Nursery-through-Year 13 school. Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales, with some adaptations to the local context and offers IGCSE and A-Level/BTEC examinations.
Job Responsibility:
Creating Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge all students
Supporting and Assessing Progress: Regularly assess students' in-class and at-home learning, providing targeted feedback

Requirements:
A degree and PGCE or B.Ed or the equivalent
Minimum of two years post-qualification teaching experience
Degree must be in the subject taught or a closely related subject
Experience teaching the specialist subject from key stages 3-5
Experience teaching the British curriculum up to GCSE and A-level students is highly desirable
Confidence with the use of ICT in teaching
Enhanced disclosure from the DBS or equivalent
Commitment to the welfare of all children
High expectations and aspirations for all students
Commitment to the overall development of young people
Open-minded approach to their work, and willing to learn and develop
Demonstrable love for what they do and a proven track record
Nice to have:
Experience teaching Chemistry up to A-level students
