To join our team in August 2026, we are looking for a well-qualified and talented Chemistry Teacher.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver engaging and effective instruction in Chemistry, aligned with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula
Plan and execute dynamic lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, incorporating modern teaching strategies, practical laboratory experiments, and technology
Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, ensuring high academic standards
Provide pastoral support, promoting student well-being and collaborating with the school’s well-being team
Encourage student involvement in extra-curricular activities, cultural events, and STEM-related or science enrichment projects
Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives
Maintain a positive classroom environment with high standards of behaviour and discipline
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development goals
Engage parents and stakeholders through regular communication about student progress
Stay current with educational advancements and participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements:
A relevant degree in Chemistry or a closely related field, plus a valid teaching qualification
Experience teaching Chemistry, ideally with knowledge of the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programmes
Ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a love for scientific inquiry, experimentation, and chemical problem-solving
Strong skills in differentiating instruction for diverse learners
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
Experience using technology, laboratory investigations, and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning
Commitment to continuous professional development
A strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices
