Job Description

Are you a passionate ALN Teacher who believes in the power of education to unlock every learner’s potential and provide the support they need to thrive? Elementa Support Services is working in partnership with supportive and forward-thinking schools and alternative provision settings to recruit enthusiastic and knowledgeable ALN Teachers who can deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to learners’ individual needs. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in students’ lives while promoting inclusion, confidence, and progress within a positive learning environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to ALN learners in line with the national curriculum and individual learning plans
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for learners
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times
  • Contribute to the wider school or alternative provision community

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply (Elementa can assist)
  • Previous experience teaching ALN learners
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in ALN schools or alternative provision
  • Creativity and adaptability in lesson planning
  • A reflective and flexible approach to meeting learners' needs
