A Teacher in Springboard would need experience of teaching learners for whom traditional secondary education has not previously been successful, many of the learners have SEMH needs. You will have drive, passion and enthusiasm for helping SEMH learners on their personal educational journey.
Job Responsibility:
Planning and delivering teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles
Taking responsibility for the quality of own teaching and related curriculum development
Developing learning resources/materials to meet individual learner needs
Assessing student progress against highly personalised progress targets
Programme focuses on soft skills and getting learners ready for college, using lots of trips and visits rather than lots of classroom-based activity
Requirements:
Enthusiasm, resilience and highly motivated
Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2
Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent)
Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education or required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment
Relevant assessment qualifications – IQA/A1/V1
Evidence of current Continuous Professional Development
