Job Description

Teacher in GCSE Maths and Functional Skills, are you looking for your next challenge and an opportunity to improve the life chances of our learners? Job Responsibility

  • Planning, delivering and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles
  • Taking responsibility for quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meet learner needs
  • Assessing learners progress in College or on work experience and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets
  • Contribute to the planning and development of the curriculum for delivery

Requirements

  • Enthusiasm, resilience and be highly motivated
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent)
  • Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education or required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment
  • Evidence of current Continuous Professional Development
  • Relevant assessment qualifications – IQA/A1/V1 are desirable
  • Experienced
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
