Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and resilient Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in the Crawley area. This full-time role offers a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate and involves supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs within a structured, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering engaging and supportive lessons that help pupils re-engage with learning, build confidence and develop both academically and emotionally
  • Working closely with support staff and senior leaders to create a safe, positive and consistent classroom environment tailored to individual needs

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour (or a strong interest in this area)
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to supporting pupils’ wellbeing and progress
  • Right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
  • Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
