We are looking for an experienced Tax Staff member with strong attention to detail to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role requires a solid background in tax preparation and compliance for individuals and corporations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of tax regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and review individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations while identifying potential tax-saving opportunities
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and respond to inquiries regarding their tax filings
Utilize tax preparation software, including CCH ProSystem, to streamline processes and maintain accuracy
Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to support client needs
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency of tax preparation activities
Maintain thorough documentation of all tax-related work to ensure transparency and compliance
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to offer informed guidance to clients
Provide support during audits and other tax-related reviews as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation for individuals and corporations
Proficiency in using tax software such as CCH ProSystem or similar tools
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex tax issues
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance in all tasks
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Experience in researching and resolving tax-related challenges
