Job Description:

Colleen McAuliffe at Robert Half is looking for an experienced Tax Senior with expertise in transfer pricing to join our team in Morgan Hill, California. This role offers the opportunity to work on intricate cross-border transactions, applying technical knowledge to support global compliance and operational activities. You will collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure effective management of intercompany transactions and adherence to international tax regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and analyze recurring intercompany calculations, including service charges, royalties, and margin-based arrangements
  • Conduct periodic reviews to compare actual financial results with arm’s-length benchmarks, including true-up analyses
  • Perform benchmarking studies for new or evolving intercompany transactions
  • Collaborate with external advisors to meet global compliance requirements, including documentation and jurisdictional reporting
  • Maintain and update documentation for transfer pricing methodologies and annual updates
  • Partner with finance, operations, and other internal teams to support intercompany transaction reporting and activities
  • Monitor changes in business operations, supply chain, or market expansions that may impact transfer pricing strategies
  • Provide analytical support for initiatives such as product launches, restructurings, or updates to intercompany arrangements
  • Assist in updating internal policies and procedures regarding transfer pricing
  • Support audit-related inquiries by explaining transfer pricing concepts and providing necessary documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • A minimum of 2–4 years of experience in transfer pricing or international tax, preferably in a public accounting or corporate setting
  • Solid understanding of global transfer pricing principles and compliance requirements
  • Experience with documentation such as benchmarking studies and jurisdictional filings is a plus
  • Proficient in analyzing financial data, with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-specialist audiences
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
