A well-established and growing public accounting and wealth management firm in the Dallas area is seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join its team. This firm serves a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, families, privately held businesses, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional client service.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations
  • Perform tax research and provide planning support for clients with complex financial situations
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and staff to ensure timely and accurate project completion
  • Supervise, train, and review work prepared by staff accountants and interns
  • Maintain organized and accurate client records while ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations
  • Deliver high-quality work products and meet deadlines consistently
  • Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and client service enhancements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing CPA certification)
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in public accounting in a tax-related role
  • Experience preparing returns for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations required
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and tax preparation software preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Professional demeanor with a client-focused mindset

Nice to have

  • CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing CPA certification)
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and tax preparation software preferred
