Job Description:

A high-End Investment firm is seeking a Tax Senior Associate. Perks include including above market pay-rates, top-tier health benefits, plenty of work from home flexibility, and other unique perks that their top competitors can’t to provide.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting portfolio company finance teams with tax reporting and supporting calculations
  • providing guidance and assistance with technical tax questions and research
  • understanding the necessary action items and processes needed to accomplish benefits including purchase price allocations and tax step-up computations
  • participating in both sell side and buy-side tax due diligence for platform acquisitions, add-on acquisitions and carve outs
  • gathering information, data, legal agreements for service providers
  • monitoring transaction tax benefits and tax refunds
  • assisting coordination of service providers for provisions and compliance
  • reviewing and summarizing purchase agreements for tax deliverables
  • preparing special tax projects for certain acquisitions
  • providing technical assistance with new federal and state law changes
  • assisting in coordination of the flow of K-1s for the fund in a timely manner
  • providing IRS audit support and project management

Requirements:

  • undergraduate degree in accounting from a top-tier educational institution
  • CPA with approximately 4+ years of tax experience
  • tax lead experience on large multinational companies
  • experience with tax impacts of acquisitions and dispositions
  • well-rounded tax technical skills in partnership tax, US corporate tax (Federal, State & Local)
  • working knowledge of international tax
  • experience in researching, documenting, and concluding on various technical tax issues
  • detail oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to work with outside advisors
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • demonstrated project management skills
  • flexible and capable of applying experiences and skills to a broad range of sectors, projects, and functional areas
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • extremely strong Excel skills
