Job Description

Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts. Take responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverables. Writing memos and tax alerts. Assist with internal and external presentations. Develop detailed engagement work plans. Illustrate budgets and schedules. Actively participate in proposals. Researching complex federal income tax law. Learn about and provide insight on new and complex tax provisions across all federal income taxes. Create tax models and checklists to be used by other members of the federal tax team. Be a tax technical resource to firm partners and managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Must have experience preparing and reviewing the following types of tax returns: Passthrough entity tax returns including 1065 & 1120-S
  • 3+ years of tax experience
  • Strong tax research skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills, as well as exceptional client service skills
  • Proven competence with MS Office and tax compliance and research software, including ProSystem, BNA portfolio and projection, CCH Axcess, and RIA

Nice to have

  • Master's in Tax is a plus
  • CPA, LLM or JD is preferred
