Job Description:

The Tax Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional responsible for tax liabilities, compliance, financial reporting, and managing tax-related inquiries. The role includes overseeing team operations, adhering to standards, and collaborating internally to ensure timely issue remediation and process improvements.

Job Responsibility:

Manage tax liabilities for Citi
Handle financial reporting, planning, and controversies related to taxes
Oversee income tax filing and reporting processes
Respond to inquiries from tax authorities
Collaborate with tech partners to resolve issues
Participate in managing team operations and ensuring compliance with global reporting requirements
Provide support during internal audits
Review and enhance tax policies and procedures.

Requirements:

5-8+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree
Deep understanding of country-specific rules and regulatory requirements related to AEoI reporting
Able to manage inquiries from tax authorities and collaborate with internal teams
Conduct research and respond to operational tax-related queries
Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication and diplomacy skills.

Nice to have:

Experience with technology initiatives and tax-related technical input
Leadership and coaching experience
Auditing knowledge and skills
Ability to manage risk by ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations
Ability to operate with limited supervision.
