Job Description

The Tax Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for the overall management of the tax liabilities of Citi
  • Contributes to the planning, accounting, filing and the reporting of tax liability
  • Assists in determining and compiling information required to satisfy income tax filing
  • May participate in managing payments to tax authorities
  • Resolves complex problems or transactions
  • Manages one or more processes, reports, procedures or products
  • Directs day-to-day work of junior level employees
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
  • Responsible for in-scope processes related to multiple Citi lines of business within the centralized Tax Information Reporting function
  • Support compliance with regulatory risk through accurate reporting
  • Migrate information reporting work from various sub-units
  • Provide tax technical guidance
  • Manage IRS Reporting processes such as 1042, 1042s & 1099
  • Review and coordinate queries received from IRS
  • Enhance Tax Information Reporting capabilities
