Tax Preparer

• Prepare accurate and timely individual tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations
• Handle business tax returns when applicable, providing expertise and precision
• Manage a high volume of tax returns during the seasonal period, including drop-off returns
• Utilize tax preparation software, such as ProSeries, to streamline the filing process
• Work closely with clients to gather necessary documentation and resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain organized records and files for all completed returns
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent quality and adherence to deadlines
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and providing clear explanations
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate filings
• Assist in troubleshooting software or process issues as needed

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation
• Proficiency in preparing individual tax returns
• Familiarity with tax preparation software, particularly ProSeries, is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to manage a large volume of tax returns efficiently during peak periods
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Experience with business returns is a plus
