We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and providing exceptional service to clients. This position requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of tax laws and software.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
Organize and analyze financial documentation provided by clients
Accurately input financial data into tax preparation software
Ensure all tax filings adhere to federal, state, and local regulations
Identify and apply eligible deductions and credits to optimize clients' tax outcomes
Communicate professionally with clients to address inquiries and clarify financial information
Maintain accurate and confidential records for all client tax filings
Assist with amending tax returns and addressing tax notices as needed
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Provide guidance on complex tax situations and fiduciary matters
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation
Proficiency in tax software such as Lacerte, Intuit Lacerte, and UltraTax
Strong knowledge of tax regulations for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
Ability to identify tax-saving opportunities and deductions for clients
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients
Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in tax filings
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
