We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves handling individual tax returns with precision and efficiency while leveraging your expertise in tax preparation software. Job Responsibility:

Prepare accurate individual tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Review financial documents and gather necessary information to complete tax filings
Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to process and manage tax preparation tasks
Identify potential deductions and credits to maximize tax benefits for clients
Communicate with clients to clarify tax-related questions and ensure all required documentation is provided
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to maintain compliance
Organize and maintain client records securely for future reference
Collaborate with team members to address complex tax scenarios effectively
Meet deadlines and manage multiple tax preparation projects during peak seasons

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, specializing in individual tax returns
Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software or similar tax preparation tools
Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax filings
Proven ability to identify deductions and credits to benefit clients
Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly
