This short-term, contract/temporary role is ideal for those looking to build their tax expertise while making a real impact on clients' financial well-being.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare both simple and complex State and Federal tax returns for individuals and small businesses
  • Input and manage client data in tax software applications with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Address client tax-related inquiries, delegate questions, and schedule appointments as needed
  • Ensure all tax documentation is gathered, organized, and compliant with regulations
  • Prepare and file transaction tax returns using various methods (Paper, E-File, EDI Upload) with government agencies
  • Calculate form preparation fees and issue invoices for services rendered
  • Participate in special projects and take on additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of tax preparation experience, including individual and small business returns
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and familiarity with spreadsheets and databases
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations
  • Ability to handle data entry with precision and maintain data integrity
  • Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or Finance preferred
