Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in Biddeford, Maine. This is a long-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to work on-site and contribute to the financial success of our clients. The ideal candidate will have expertise in tax preparation, accounting software, and customer service.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Utilize accounting software systems, including Ultra Tax, to manage and process financial data efficiently
Review and analyze financial records to identify allowable deductions and allowances
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving tax-related issues
Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports
Maintain organized records and documentation for audit and review purposes
Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to provide informed guidance to clients
Perform data entry tasks with precision to ensure the integrity of financial information
Assist in identifying opportunities for tax savings and optimization for clients
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the tax preparation process

Requirements:

Proven experience in tax preparation with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
Proficiency in accounting software systems, particularly Ultra Tax
Solid knowledge of accounting functions, including deductions, allowances, and financial reporting
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively in a team environment
Familiarity with maintaining organized financial records and documentation
Commitment to staying current with changes in tax laws and industry best practices
