Tax Preparer

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, and LLCs
• Utilize Ultra Tax software to efficiently manage tax preparation and filing processes
• Conduct trial balance analysis to ensure accuracy in financial statements and tax filings
• Develop and reconcile supporting schedules such as M-1 and M-2
• Manage the preparation of 100–150 business tax returns during peak filing periods
• Maintain thorough documentation and records for all client accounts
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide expert guidance on tax matters
• Stay informed on changes to tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
• Collaborate with team members to address complex tax issues effectively

• At least 3 years of recent experience in preparing both individual and business tax returns
• Proficiency in Ultra Tax software is required
• Advanced knowledge of trial balance reporting and reconciliation
• Expertise in preparing M-1 and M-2 schedules
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a high volume of business tax returns
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

An accounting degree or equivalent certification is preferred but not required
