We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in a long-term contract position. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work remotely, supporting our clients during peak tax seasons. Job Responsibility:
Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, including S Corporations (1120S) and personal returns (1040)
Utilize ProSeries and Intuit tax software to ensure accurate and efficient tax preparation
Guide clients through the tax documentation process, addressing questions and ensuring compliance with regulations
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all relevant tax laws and guidelines
Work collaboratively with existing staff to manage increased workloads during busy periods
Offer support for bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online when necessary
Participate in new business initiatives or process improvements as assigned
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in tax preparation, with expertise in both individual and S Corporation returns
Proficiency in using ProSeries and/or Intuit tax software
Strong familiarity with QuickBooks Online is preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation not required
Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is acceptable
Ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
Nice to have:
Strong familiarity with QuickBooks Online
