Job Description:

Lanigan Ryan is seeking a full-time tax preparer, with 4+ years of experience, to join our tax team in preparing individual and business tax returns, including complex, multi-state returns, for our clients. As a member of the tax team, you will be an integral part of our clients’ success! Our team members are driven to find the best possible answers for each unique situation, while creating personal relationships with our teammates and clients. Learn with the best, collaborating and problem-solving with all levels of the firm on a variety of tax forms and related schedules.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare individual and business tax returns, including complex, multi-state returns
  • Collaborate and problem-solve with all levels of the firm on a variety of tax forms and related schedules

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years of tax preparation experience
  • Proficient in current income tax laws and tax research
  • Ability to work independently, perform accurate self-review of work
  • Knowledge of accounting and tax software (CCH Axcess & other tax-related CCH tools, BNA experience preferred)
  • Highly motivated with the desire to learn
  • Interest in building collaborative relationships, striving to find the best possible solutions
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future
