In this role, the Tax Operations Withholding and Reporting Manager is accountable for the end‑to‑end oversight of U.S. tax withholding and information reporting activities. This includes ensuring all withholding, tax payments, and client and IRS reporting are completed accurately, on schedule, and in full compliance with regulatory standards. As a key subject matter expert, the AVP partners with Front Office teams and internal stakeholders to address inquiries, manage escalations, and navigate complex tax scenarios to deliver compliant, client‑focused results. The role also champions continuous improvement by identifying root causes, reducing operational risk, enhancing controls, and collaborating across functions to strengthen processes and maintain regulatory readiness.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accountable for the end‑to‑end oversight of U.S. tax withholding and information reporting activities
  • Ensure all withholding, tax payments, and client and IRS reporting are completed accurately, on schedule, and in full compliance with regulatory standards
  • Partner with Front Office teams and internal stakeholders to address inquiries, manage escalations, and navigate complex tax scenarios
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying root causes, reducing operational risk, enhancing controls, and collaborating across functions to strengthen processes and maintain regulatory readiness
  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes
  • Identify areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency
  • Develop reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders
  • Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of IRS tax reporting, withholding, and deposit requirements in financial services, including tax rules, industry standards, and evolving regulatory developments
  • Proficiency with Broadridge platforms such as BPS, TMS, TDS, and Taxonomy
  • Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and drive process improvements in tax withholding and reporting, improving controls, resolving issues, and supporting cross‑functional delivery

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with Front Office, Client Service, and Operations teams to resolve complex withholding and reporting inquiries, including escalations involving unique tax or account structures
  • Analytical and problem‑solving ability to interpret complex data, identify trends or control gaps, and convert insights into practical recommendations
  • Experience in people or project leadership, including coaching others, managing multiple priorities, and influencing cross‑functional outcomes
