Job Description

Join us as a Tax Operations Analyst, where you will shape the future of Banking at Barclays by managing the function to deliver first-class service to stakeholders and customers, facilitating timely and accurate tax reporting, returns, relief and reclaim processes, managing associated operational risks and ensuring the function meets its objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Tax Operations, including a clear understanding of operational tax processes and associated risks
  • A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively in a time-sensitive, regulated environment
  • Confident problem-solving skills, applying technical experience and established guidance to identify and implement solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables)
  • The ability to take ownership of tasks, work independently when needed, and contribute positively to team goals
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, delivering work to a high standard within a fast-paced environment
