As a Tax Manager at NTT DATA, you will oversee all Australian tax compliance and reporting activities, ensuring adherence to ATO requirements. You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and manage various tax-related responsibilities, including income tax returns, BAS, GST, and FBT compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Manage preparation and review of company income tax returns
Oversee BAS, GST, FBT and PAYG tax compliance
Manage quarterly tax effect accounting and deferred tax calculations
Manage ATO Top 1,000 Combined Assurance Reviews (CAR) and related tax governance documentation
Coordinate and manage external tax testing and implement improvements
Manage anti-hybrid mismatch rules compliance and reporting
Support head office with compliance with OECD Pillar Two (Global Minimum Tax) requirements
Monitor changes in Australian tax legislation and advise on impacts
Provide tax advice to internal stakeholders on transactions and business initiatives
Manage transfer pricing documentation, including updated Short Form Local File requirements, in conjunction with tax advisors
Support head office with Australian Public Country-by-Country (CbC) Reporting, regulations
Support external auditors with income tax audit requirements, including preparation of tax disclosures and working papers
Prepare and present tax updates to the Board of Directors
Support and lead tax aspects of entity restructurings
Improve internal tax processes, controls, and governance frameworks
Liaise with external advisors and auditors
Mentor and develop junior finance/tax staff
Requirements:
CA or CPA qualification
10+ years’ experience in Australian tax (Big 4/mid-tier/public practice or industry)
Strong knowledge of Australian corporate tax, GST, and FBT legislation
Experience dealing with the ATO
Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
Ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with stakeholders
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Good knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
