We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Dallas, Texas, on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in tax preparation and review, seeking to expand their leadership capabilities. As part of a collaborative and dynamic team, you will oversee diverse tax engagements, manage client relationships, and contribute to the development of entry-level staff. This is a 4-6 week contract position.
Job Responsibility:
Review and manage tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, S-Corps, and C-Corps to ensure accuracy and compliance
Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level staff, offering support in their tax preparation and review tasks
Lead quarterly tax planning initiatives, including the calculation of estimated taxes
Assign and oversee workloads for internal staff and outsourced resources to maintain efficiency and quality
Collaborate with firm leadership to enhance internal processes and promote team productivity
Conduct first-level reviews of staff-prepared tax work, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to address complex tax issues and provide strategic advice
Foster a positive and growth-oriented team environment to support collaboration and accountability
Remain up-to-date on tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising clients accordingly
Utilize advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel to streamline tax preparation and reporting
Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services
Proven expertise in tax preparation and review across various entity types, including individuals, trusts, and partnerships
Proficiency in accounting software systems, including CCH ProSystem
Advanced skills in Excel, with the ability to perform complex calculations and data analysis
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with clients and support team collaboration
In-depth understanding of partnership taxation, S-Corps, and trust and estate tax compliance
Hands-on experience with CCH Access
Hands-on experience with CCH Engagement
Hands-on experience with CCH trial balance software
