We are on the lookout for a Tax Manager in the detail oriented Services industry, located in Redlands, California. This role involves managing tax strategies and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. The individual will be working in a public accounting firm setting.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including preparing and reviewing tax returns
Provide innovative tax planning strategies and compliance expertise to clients
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance within the organization
Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes
Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns
Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc
Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections
Manage and coordinate tax audits
Maintain tax balances on general ledger
Prepare all tax papers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within the detail oriented services industry
Proficient in managing and overseeing corporate tax functions
Experience in individual tax management is essential
Expertise in partnership tax management is required
Must be able to interpret and apply tax regulations effectively
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required
Must possess strong leadership and team management skills
Proficient in tax software and other relevant computer applications
Must have a strong understanding of tax codes, compliance, and procedures
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent is preferred
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
A master’s degree in tax or law is desirable
Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required
Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Possess strong interpersonal skills to manage and interact with different levels of the organization
