As a member of the Global Tax team at Awin, you will support Awin entities regarding corporate income, federal, state and sales tax, digital services taxes, tax compliance and all other tax related cases (excluding wage tax). Although you will be applying your acquired US tax experience by overseeing tax matters for our US entity, there will be ample opportunity and need to support Awin entities outside of the US, e.g. in Brazil and Mexico. Job Responsibility:
Assessment of global transactions under the Awin business model regarding current tax frameworks, requirements (in particular corporate income, federal, state and sales tax) and international corporate structures within the Awin Group, including correspondence with external consultants
Preparation and filing of US tax returns (CIT, Sales/Use Tax) and necessary documentation
Review activities of the Awin entities in the US to determine nexus for sales/use and income taxes
Research and respond to miscellaneous tax notices
Preparation of estimated quarterly and extension calculations, and tax payments
Management of tax audits
Participation in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (IFRS) for current/deferred taxes
Work cross-functionally with other departments and Awin Group companies regarding identified and ongoing tax issues including communication with external consultants and tax authorities
Requirements:
Current and valid CPA license
At least 5 years’ relevant experience within Tax Advisory and/or industry roles
High degree of competence in Microsoft Excel and ideally knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and to apply a hands-on mentality
High attention to detail and ability to follow through open items and tasks through to completion
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills
Global mindset and team-oriented with the ability to develop internal relationships and earn the respect of other team members across various functions
Highly motivated to further develop on a professional and personal level
Results oriented, proactive, and self-motivated
