Position: Controllership – Tax Operations Manager 12-month Fixed Term Contract. Location: Dublin. The Controllership Tax Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution and delivery of Income Tax Compliance across the UK, Ireland, and other European entities as required, ensuring full alignment with internal policy deadlines and effective collaboration with external advisors. A key aspect of the role is to build and maintain strong working relationships across the wider Controllership and Tax functions, driving collaboration, operational excellence, and the seamless running of the Tax Centre of Value (CoV).
Job Responsibility
Develop and implement the Income Tax Compliance calendar, coordinating timelines and inputs with various teams to ensure seamless execution
Lead the preparation and compilation of annual tax computation information for multiple entities, ensuring timely submission to Tax Advisors
Manage and maintain strong relationships with Tax Advisors by addressing queries and providing required data promptly and accurately
Research and document tax positions, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
Monitor emerging tax developments, assess business impact, and provide timely recommendations to leadership
Build and maintain strong working relationships with Country Controllers and the Global Tax Group to foster collaboration and alignment
Manage the preparation and submission of year-end tax packages and True-ups to the Global Tax Group, including responding to queries and providing necessary data
Calculate the Effective Tax Rate on a quarterly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards
Lead the preparation of quarterly Tax forecasts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and financial planning
Ensure timely preparation and submission of preliminary tax payments for each jurisdiction as required
Conduct detailed reviews of monthly tax reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
Optimise resource allocation to effectively meet objectives and deadlines
Safeguard the integrity of financial records and uphold robust internal financial controls
Coach and develop team members, embedding effective succession planning to sustain long-term performance
Resolve escalated queries and promote knowledge-sharing to build team expertise and resilience
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing processes, workflows, and use of technology
Requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Standards, including IFRS and US GAAP
