Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager / Sr Tax Accountant to join our team, based in Austin, Texas. In this role, you'll be processing and analyzing tax-related data, maintaining compliance calendars, and responding to tax-related inquiries from various jurisdictions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze and process tax-related data for the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, franchise tax returns, and unclaimed property
  • Assist with audits related to all types of taxes initiated by various federal and state jurisdictions
  • Respond to information and documentation requests from federal, state, and local governmental agencies regarding tax matters
  • Maintain tax compliance and reporting calendars, ensuring the timely completion of all scheduled items
  • Assist in various tax-related projects as needed
  • Prepare tax account reconciliations
  • Assist with tax provision and reporting (ASC 740)
  • Mail various compliance forms and payments
  • Record data in ERP
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, and other related accounting functions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Tax Manager or Sr Tax Accountant
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services
  • Familiarity with CaseWare
  • Knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax
  • Capable of performing Accounting Functions effectively
  • Experience with Annual Income Tax Provision
  • Auditing skills
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
