Job Description:

The Tax Intermediate Reporting Analyst position is responsible for managing end-to-end client tax activities including validation of client tax certifications, withholding processes, information reporting under IRS, FATCA, and CRS regimes, Citi-wide tax governance, and US non-income tax activities. The role operates with low oversight and requires a high degree of independence and initiative.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage Tax information reporting operations
  • Enhance Tax Information Reporting capabilities
  • Ensure strong controls from Operations and Audit perspective
  • Act as tax/information reporting specialist for FATCA advisory/rollout
  • Execute tax information reporting processes for Citi's business products
  • Migrate work into centralized hub
  • Develop Go To processes and implement procedures/controls
  • Ensure compliance with Information Reporting & FATCA requirements
  • Ensure adherence to KPI's and KRI's
  • Support process improvements/reengineering initiatives
  • Support Service Delivery/Engagement model
  • Resolve basic, moderately, and complex problems
  • Manage Citi's tax liabilities
  • Support audits with IRS and Internal Audit
  • Participate in self-assessment testing and MCA
  • Manager Review and validation process of W-8 and W-9 tax forms

Requirements:

  • Min 6 to 8 Years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree graduate
  • Conceptual and practical grounding in applying policies to the business
  • Experience with Tax Information Reporting
  • Knowledge of IRS regulations including Chapter 3, chapter 61 and FATCA regulations
  • Experience with tax withholding processes
  • Experience with US non-income tax activities
  • Financial acumen
