Tax & Insurance Escrow Manager

Job Responsibility

  • Lead all day-to-day tax, insurance, escrow administration, and related mortgage servicing operations while ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and achievement of departmental objectives
  • Ensure timely and accurate escrow disbursements for taxes, insurance premiums, HOA dues, and other escrowed obligations to prevent penalties, interest assessments, lapses in coverage, or borrower harm
  • Monitors non-escrowed accounts for the current payment of taxes and placement of appropriate insurance coverages
  • Oversee follow-up with clients and borrowers as appropriate
  • Oversee the department’s compliance with Lender Placed insurance and cancellation regulations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including RESPA, CFPB servicing requirements, investor guidelines, insurer requirements, and client servicing agreements
  • Identify operational trends, root causes, and opportunities for corrective action and process improvement
  • Manage relationships with tax service providers, insurance tracking vendors, and other third-party service providers to ensure contractual obligations and service level expectations are achieved
  • Develop and maintain clearly written and regularly updated department procedures
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal laws and regulations applicable to servicing mortgage loan escrows and payment processing
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives through automation, workflow optimization, data analysis, and technology enhancements that improve accuracy, scalability, compliance, and customer experience.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree and 5+ years Mortgage Servicing with specific experience with Tax and Insurance escrow management
  • Leadership – will be hiring a team of 7 people immediately
  • Tech savvy. Needs to improve overall systems utilization
  • Experience with MSP, Black Knight Mortgage servicing system
  • Create efficiency
  • Strong understanding of regulations governing escrow.
