Job Description:

The Tax Expert will act as the primary tax advisor for VST being responsible for managing and overseeing the tax compliance and advisory activities for the company's operations. The resource will ensure that the company adheres to local tax laws, multinational tax regulations, and international tax treaties while providing strategic tax planning and insights to support business decisions. This role is crucial in ensuring the company’s tax risks are effectively managed and its tax obligations are met efficiently. It’s going to act as Tax Expert single point of contact for Vodafone Servizi and Tecnologie, a Vodafone Group owned company with ~900 employees in Italy performing activities in Network and Digital & IT areas. He/she will be part of an international HR team with many opportunities to share best practices across 11 markets in Europe.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as the primary tax advisor for VST
  • Manage and oversee tax compliance and advisory activities for the company's operations
  • Ensure the company adheres to local tax laws, multinational tax regulations, and international tax treaties
  • Provide strategic tax planning and insights to support business decisions

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxes matters and filling activities
  • Strong knowledge of Transfer Pricing mechanisms and ability to work with Group to align VST matters
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to advise management effectively
  • Proficiency in tax research and document management
  • Ability to align tax strategies with corporate objectives and local tax regulatory landscape
  • A bachelor’s degree in taxation, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax boutiques/in house
  • Familiar with VAT, direct and indirect taxes and transfer pricing
  • Fluency in English and Italian
