Job Description

Looking to add an experienced hybrid Tax & Estates Paralegal to the Pittsburgh office—someone who wants to play a meaningful role in sophisticated estate and trust matters while working alongside a highly respected team.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and support a wide range of tax filings, including individual, fiduciary, estate, inheritance, and gift tax returns
  • Assist with estate and trust administration from start to finish
  • Maintain and organize corporate and fiduciary records with a high level of accuracy
  • Manage complex documentation and ensure compliance with filing requirements
  • Partner closely with attorneys on high-level client matters

Requirements

  • 5+ years of substantive estates & trusts paralegal experience in a law firm
  • Strong working knowledge of Pennsylvania probate process, Orphan’s Court procedures, and estate/trust law
  • Experience with tax prep software and estate administration systems (Lackner a plus)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and document management systems (iManage preferred)

  • Assist with the preparation and filing of estate tax and gift tax returns
  • Communicate directly with clients, fiduciaries, financial advisors, accountants, appraisers, financial institutions, and other third parties
