Robert Half Legal is partnering with a highly respected mid-size law firm in Downtown Seattle that is seeking to add a Tax/Estate Planning Attorney to its well‑established team.
Job Responsibility:
Work across a broad array of tax matters, with a particular emphasis on: Complex intergenerational company tax planning
Federal income tax issues involving individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, and trusts
Taxable and tax‑free mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions of domestic businesses
In‑depth research and analysis related to sophisticated tax structures
Drafting client correspondence
Preparing internal memoranda
Designing complex company succession plans
Regularly work with closely held businesses, high‑net‑worth individuals, and multi‑generational families
Requirements:
Approximately 3+ years of experience
LL.M. in Tax or equivalent tax-focused training (CPA or comparable background)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High analytical and technical aptitude
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Genuine interest in long‑term professional growth in tax and estate planning
A minimum of five years of experience in advanced estate planning and tax law
Proficiency in preparing legal documents for trusts and estate planning strategies
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements and valuation discount reports
Strong knowledge of charitable remainder trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, and other advanced planning tools
