Job Description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Tax Equity Originator - Executive Director within the Renewable Energy and Environmental Financing (REEF) group.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and manage customer relationships through all stages of our transactions, from initial bid to execution and funding
  • Collaborate with other parts of the bank to maximize both customer and shareholder benefit from each relationship
  • Lead all aspects of tax equity transaction structuring, negotiation, documentation, and diligence, developing and adapting risk mitigation tools as technologies and markets evolve
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to develop new products or asset classes, enter new markets, or build new systems which create incremental revenue, increase profitability, demonstrate market leadership, capture internal efficiencies, and provide avenues for growth
  • Serve as a mentor and advisor to less experienced individuals
  • Complete work in accordance with all risk management, compliance, and business process expectations, and participate in the determination of these expectations

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Renewable Energy Investment Origination experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Business or related field
  • Experience with renewable energy finance/ tax equity investing
  • Project finance experience preferred
  • Passion for renewable energy as demonstrated either through education or work experience
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and organization, and ability to solve complex or abstract problems
  • Ability to contribute to projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while working effectively across internal and external stakeholders
