You’ll gain hands-on experience in individual and business tax preparation, compliance, and planning, while supporting clients across diverse industries.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits
  • Assist with tax planning and research projects using authoritative sources and Withum’s proprietary tools
  • Analyze financial data and apply tax regulations to client scenarios
  • Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to ensure integrated client service
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions
  • Leverage tax technology platforms and data analytics tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Stay current on evolving tax laws and industry trends
  • Assume increasing responsibility on engagements as your proficiency grows
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduated or graduating college student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and grow
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in one of our office locations

Nice to have

  • 150 credit hours
  • Prior internship experience with a public accounting firm
  • Experience with tax software
