Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Tax Director/Manager - Corporate to lead key tax activities for a distribution organization in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position oversees corporate tax reporting and compliance efforts across multiple tax areas while helping maintain accurate, timely filings. The role is well suited for someone who is detail oriented and can balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the preparation and review of the annual income tax provision to support accurate financial reporting
  • Manage corporate tax compliance activities, ensuring federal, state, and related filings are completed correctly and on schedule
  • Oversee the calculation, documentation, and reporting of corporate income tax obligations across the organization
  • Administer tax processes using ATX Tax Software and other compliance tools to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Coordinate state tax reporting requirements and monitor filing obligations across applicable jurisdictions
  • Support indirect tax compliance activities, including reviewing related data, processes, and reporting outputs
  • Partner with finance and internal stakeholders to resolve tax issues, respond to inquiries, and maintain strong documentation standards

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in annual income tax provision preparation and review
  • Strong background in corporate tax compliance within a corporate environment
  • Proficiency with ATX Tax Software and related compliance software platforms
  • Solid knowledge of corporate income tax principles and reporting requirements
  • Experience handling indirect tax matters and associated compliance responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of state tax regulations and multi-jurisdiction filing requirements
  • Ability to manage deadlines, analyze tax data, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
