We are looking for a skilled Tax Director/Manager to oversee corporate tax compliance and reporting for our aerospace business in Irving, Texas. This role involves managing complex federal and state tax processes, ensuring adherence to regulations, and collaborating with various teams to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience and technical expertise to streamline operations and deliver high-quality results.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of federal income tax returns, including all necessary schedules and disclosures
Partner with internal teams such as finance, accounting, and legal to gather data and address tax-related issues
Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and consultants to ensure seamless tax compliance and reporting
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and analysis related to tax processes
Assist in the annual tax provision process, including calculations, documentation, and detailed analysis
Evaluate and enhance the organization's tax procedures, implementing improvements to optimize efficiency
Handle day-to-day tax department functions for various U.S. taxes, including state, local, franchise, and excise taxes
Provide technical guidance on tax matters for business transactions, initiatives, and special projects
Monitor and interpret changes in federal and international tax laws, communicating relevant updates to senior management
Analyze the impact of tax legislation and regulations on business operations, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred
At least 8 years of experience in federal tax compliance and provision, ideally in both public accounting and multinational corporate environments
In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal tax laws and regulations
familiarity with IFRS standards is advantageous
Proficiency in using OneSource Income Tax software and advanced Excel skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to adapt to evolving tax regulations and integrate changes into existing processes
