Job Description

Assistant Manager role in BDO's Tax Accounting Group, a national group of tax professionals specialising in tax accounting and tax audit work. The role involves working with large, high-profile audits and complex tax reporting for clients including FTSE and AIM listed groups, large inbounds and private equity backed businesses.

Job Responsibility

  • Have exposure to our largest, highest-profile audits across a range of groups and sectors
  • Assist with complex tax reporting for non-audit clients, including preparing tax consolidations and the tax accounting aspects of GAAP conversions, carve out accounting and acquisition accounting
  • Work closely with more senior professionals
  • Work directly with clients and our technical experts
  • Have a portfolio of audit clients across a number of sectors
  • Be responsible for training more junior members of the team
  • Liaise and build relationships with primary audit teams
  • Develop project management skills to ensure required deliverables are provided on time

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years audit and/or tax experience with a Big Four or mid-tier firm
  • ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Developed project management skills and is able to manage multiple projects and meet agreed deadlines
  • Experience of coaching more junior staff
  • Experience of dealing with clients directly
