Tax Associate

• Perform tax accounting activities related to the preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns and the financial statement accounting for income taxes
• prepare routine tax work papers, account reconciliations, responses to audit requests, research memos and correspondence
• maintain records related to income tax returns and reports
• receive direction from manager and exercise independent judgment while developing basic knowledge of federal and state tax laws, rulings, regulations and judicial decisions affecting corporations
• collaborate and consult with peers, managers and stakeholders

6+ months of Corporate Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• experience with filing and paying personal property taxes
• proficient in Excel – ability to utilize VLOOKUPs, macros, and run large data set analysis
• InfoLease experience
• SQL or Database knowledge
• experience using PTMS (Property Tax Made Simple) for data import and export
