We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Analyst to join our finance team in Bangalore. In this role, you will support domestic and/or international tax compliance, ensuring accuracy in filings and adherence to evolving tax regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles, a sharp analytical mind, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (Direct and Indirect Tax, including GST and Income Tax)
Extract and analyze financial data from ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Tally) to ensure accurate tax computations
Prepare tax schedules, deferred tax calculations, and support the year-end audit process
Maintain robust records of tax filings, payments, and correspondence with tax authorities for future reference and audits
Perform monthly reconciliations between tax GL accounts and tax returns to identify and resolve discrepancies
Stay updated on the latest tax laws, circulars, and notifications (CBDT/CBIC) and summarize their impact on business operations
Support the senior tax management team in responding to notices or inquiries from tax departments
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting
Semi-qualified CA/CWA or an MBA in Finance is a significant plus
1 to 3 years of experience in corporate tax or a reputable tax consulting firm
Strong proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
Familiarity with GST portals and Income Tax e-filing
Experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Solid understanding of Indian Tax Laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and basic Accounting Standards (IndAS/AS)
