A qualified tax professional who will support the Global Tax Reporting and Strategy Lead team to bring value to STERIS in a variety of areas including cross border tax planning & compliance, structuring of acquisitions and dispositions, development and implementation of global tax strategies, and management of corporate tax governance. The position will include interaction with the corporate accounting group as well as other business groups.
Job Responsibility:
Work with external advisers on the preparation of transfer pricing documentation reports or, where applicable, prepare reports or other supporting documentation for transfer pricing policies
Responsibility for the coordination of quarterly and annual transfer pricing adjustments , including gathering and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and reporting results
Responsibility for tracking filing deadlines of all Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) including facilitating the submission of filing/non-filing notices, master file and local file, where applicable
Research transfer pricing and cross-functional tax issues
Perform financial / economic analyses and building financial valuation models, as needed
Assist with audits / provide tax controversy support
Responsible for the preparation of intercompany agreements to reflect group transfer pricing policies
Assist with lean philosophies and methodologies for continuous improvement including standard work and root cause counter-measure work in support of key performance indicators
Assist with the development and implementation of STERIS plc’s overall tax strategy
Assist with cross border tax planning and financing projects relating to both external M&A and internal reorganisations
Monitor for legislative changes and the preparation of summary notes relating to such changes which affect or may affect current and future tax positions
Monitor and analyse existing and proposed tax legislation and help define and implement appropriate global strategies
Assist with transfer pricing planning aspects of business expansion including entering into new countries, reorganisations, and cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions
Assist with preparation of executive level communication of project plans and milestones to broad stakeholder group, including tax leadership team and finance leaders
Requirements:
Minimum of 2+ years of corporate tax or public accounting firm
Proven knowledge of basic tax principles
Dynamic environment requiring adaptability and flexibility
Must possess excellent analytical skills, organisational, verbal / written communication, research and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
Experience in global transfer pricing a plus
Big four or accounting firm experience is a plus
An advanced degree and/or CPA certification is a plus
