We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to support accurate and compliant tax accounting and reporting across multiple Vodafone entities. This role plays a key part in extracting and analysing financial data for tax purposes, preparing tax calculations and returns, and supporting global and local tax teams with reliable reporting. Based in Budapest, the role offers exposure to international tax processes within a collaborative, shared‑services environment.
Job Responsibility:
Extract and analyze accounting data to support corporate tax requirements
Prepare tax calculations, tax returns, reclaims, and third-party disclosures
Monitor and prepare tax payments, forecasts, and related reporting
Support transfer pricing documentation preparation
Review and verify tax-related data accuracy within ERP systems
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations aligned with final tax payments or refunds
Collect and manage tax exemption, residency certificates, and withholding documentation
Maintain and update tax-relevant master data in ERP systems
Review payment proposals to ensure correct tax deductions and postings
Support internal tax reporting under IFRS and local GAAP, liaising with Group Tax when required
Requirements:
Experience in tax-related roles
Ability to work in an accounting or finance environment
Ability to analyze, interpret, and validate complex financial data
High attention to detail with prioritization and multitasking skills
Collaborative team member with customer-focused mindset
Fluent English communication
Additional European language skills are advantageous
