The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
Conduct tax research and stay current on tax law changes to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities
Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize financial outcomes
Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist with audits when necessary
Maintain accurate and organized client files and documentation
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of engagements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
CPA or EA designation preferred
Minimum of 3 years of tax preparation experience in public accounting
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSeries, UltraTax, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
