Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking a Tax Accountant to join our client in Portland, Oregon. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a pivotal role in preparing and managing tax returns across various industries. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in UltraTax software and a strong background in tax compliance for partnerships and S-Corps.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
Handle tax preparation for partnerships, S-Corps, and various industries, with a focus on real estate
Utilize UltraTax software to complete and manage tax-related tasks efficiently
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation
Ensure timely submission of hundreds of tax returns before the October deadline
Analyze financial statements and records to identify potential tax issues
Provide guidance on tax audits and compliance matters
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and industry-specific regulations
Support hybrid work arrangements and adapt to client needs
Assist in identifying opportunities for tax savings and optimization

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field
Proficiency in UltraTax software is essential
Strong knowledge of tax compliance for partnerships and S-Corps
Experience working with clients in the real estate industry is highly preferred
Familiarity with accounting software systems and financial statement analysis
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
