Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team in Newton, Massachusetts. This role focuses on corporate tax and accounting tasks, requiring a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing tax returns, managing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and file corporate tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Review and process sales tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date
  • Record and adjust journal entries to reflect accurate financial transactions
  • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all tax-related deadlines are met
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and financial information
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance

Requirements
