Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will handle tax preparation for individuals, corporations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Your expertise in tax laws will be key in providing clients with strategic advice to optimize their financial outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and file individual tax returns, including 1040 forms, while ensuring compliance with tax regulations
Manage corporate tax filings for S-corporations and C-corporations, adhering to all applicable laws
Handle estate tax returns, providing accurate and timely submissions
Offer tax planning services to minimize liabilities and maximize benefits for clients
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and apply updates to client strategies
Collaborate with the team to address client inquiries and resolve tax-related concerns
Review and verify documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness before filing
Provide advisory services to clients, helping them understand their tax obligations and opportunities
Assist in resolving complex tax issues, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction
Maintain organized records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial data

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in tax preparation and filing
Proficiency in handling individual, corporate, and estate tax returns
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Ability to provide tax planning and advisory services to clients
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and resolving inquiries
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
Up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations
Proficiency in relevant tax software and tools
