We’re looking for a Tax Accountant who can navigate compliance while also thinking critically about how to optimize outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical work, stays current on tax regulations, and takes ownership of their deliverables from start to finish. You’ll work closely with internal teams or clients to ensure filings are accurate, timely, and aligned with current tax laws.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns (individual, corporate, and/or partnership)
Assist with tax planning and research to support strategic decision-making
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filing requirements
Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions
Maintain accurate tax documentation and workpapers
Respond to notices and assist with audits or inquiries
Stay up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations
Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
3–5 years of tax accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
Lacerte, ProSystem fx, or UltraTax (required)
Microsoft Excel: intermediate to advanced (required)
Experience with research tools such as CCH or RIA (preferred)
CPA or actively pursuing CPA license (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines during peak seasons
