Job Responsibility:

  • Managing end-to-end tax compliance and complex structuring for a diverse portfolio of SME and high-net-worth (HNW) clients, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment
  • Providing forward-thinking business advisory services, partnering with clients on cash flow forecasting, tax planning, and strategic growth initiatives to go beyond the everyday numbers
  • Acting as a dedicated financial partner to business owners, building strong, long-term relationships that help them achieve both their operational targets and personal wealth goals
  • Preparing financial statements and statutory reports including BAS, IAS, FBT, and Payroll Tax
  • Navigating advanced tax concepts such as CGT, Div 7A, and GST reconciliations
  • Mentoring and guiding junior accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or Business (majoring in Accounting)
  • CA or CPA qualified (or actively nearing completion)
  • 3+ years of experience working within an Australian Public Practice / Business Services environment
  • Strong technical proficiency in cloud accounting and practice management software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, BGL, CAS360)
  • Proven ability to translate complex tax and financial jargon into plain, actionable advice for clients
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and a genuine interest in helping businesses grow
