The Corporation of the City of North Bay is currently accepting applications for the position of Tandem Snow Plow Operator with Utility Tractor Operator capabilities within the Roads Department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Under the direction of the Roads Supervisor, operates snowplow truck
  • Circle checks and performs minor equipment maintenance and adjustments
  • Completes reports
  • At the end of winter control, reverts to summer construction part-time pool and must have the ability to perform seasonal Utility Tractor Operator duties when required

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent acceptable experience
  • Must have a minimum of one year experience in operation of a single operator truck over 18,000 GVW with a combination plow with wing and sanding unit
  • Must hold a valid Ontario class “D” driver’s license with a “Z” endorsement
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the operation of a snowplow truck
  • Applicants will be subject to vehicle operations testing
  • Six (6) months’ experience in the operation of a utility tractor
  • Demonstrated ability in the operation of a skid steer and trackless
  • Must be able to take instructions and carry them out without supervision
